One More Day

Almost to the beginning of vacation. Tonight's dinner, more or less, made clear why it is a good idea to take this trip before moving to Chicago (only a month left!). Dad looked tired, expended, and didn't talk as much as is normal for him. And since he will only be working more in Chicago, it will be a good break in between the last few hectic weeks for Dad and the move to the city (I feel like a country girl writing that, though where we live now is not really in the country).
No one has packed yet, that we will probably do tomorrow a few hours before bed. Every trip we've taken in the last few years we have always kept the packing until the last moment. Everything works out though, and done on time.
It still doesn't feel like we are moving again. My mom and I were talking about that this morning. Just like when we lived in Japan, it feels like something of a dream, not really happening. We will probably fully grasp everything after we've moved back and reflect on the time spent in the city in Illinois.

(The new wreath on the door, springtime.)

じゃね。
