New Years has come and gone; only one day left until Dad goes back to work. Everybody is getting ready to restart our "normal everyday" routine. And it seems that the seasons have decided to change with us. The past few days have been extraordinarily warm; all of the snow has melted and left the ground soggy and muddy. Just like spring. The air even smells like spring despite today being January 1st. Hopefully it will cool again and more snow will fall before the season is really over.
Yesterday, the family made Christmas cookies. According to Nick is just wasn't the holiday season unless we made the cookies. So, as per tradition, my mom made and rolled the dough, my brothers and I cut out and decorated them. Dad stood by helping mom with the cooking.
