Yesterday we woke up to snow falling from a gray sky. It was cold and wet, although not cold enough to keep the snow from melting. Mom and I did, however, get out of the house for a while and went for a walk back by the Ponds while the the ground was still covered with a thin layer of white snow.

We got lucky and caught sight of two eastern blue birds, a female and male, before they flew away.
