End of the weekend again. It has been a good one, though. Got a lot of homework and studying done, in my room next to mom who was reading with me. It has been quite a low key weekend.

And it has become summer for the past few days! Temperaturs have been between 23°C and 25°C since Thursday. Hot! Although it is supposed to calm down and return to normal March temperatures soon.

All the plants are starting to sprout new leaves! It is absolutely beautiful now, the air smells like spring, a mixture of soil and wet plant life coming back to life. And so, below are a few pictures of the trees and flowers around the yard.

Tulips! They will flower in a short while.

The hyacinth are in full bloom. Have to enjoy them now as they do no last long, but they are very bright in color and dazzling.

The cherry tree has so many buds on it. I cannot wait to see it in full bloom!

The ground cover, vinca, has bloomed magnificently and has covered the front yard landscaping in little periwinkle/blue flowers. I love spring!

 The new foliage on the roses in the back. It looks like they have weathered the tough summer last year quite well. 

I love this season! Winter used to be my favorite, and it is because it is so quiet and still, but the stirring activity of spring is incomparable. And walking barefoot in the grass under the morning sun!
