This weekend my family and I decided to go for a last swim in Lake Michigan and left Saturday morning for Tunnel Park of Holland, Michigan. It was so much fun!!! The water was a bit cool but it felt great! Refreshing and invigorating…
We spent the whole day out on the beach, swimming several times out to a sand bar. Awesome!
We stayed till the sun set and drove home in the dark (after getting a coffee of course). So all in all, a great start to the weekend!!
It's nearing winter and fall is coming quickly I hope, so this was probably the end to my beach days but maybe we'll go back in the winter to see Lake Michigan in the coldest months.

The sunset was incredible at the beach. The pictures are a bit mixed up though, the above was near the end of the setting.
There are quite a lot of sailboats on the water Saturday, I guess they were getting their last days in as well!
The name-sake of the park, above is the tunnel; hence "Tunnel Park".

That would be fun wouldn't it? They just took off from the top of the park, a hill/sand dune that separates the beach from the rest of the park.
Got lucky with this shot. That seagull was just at the right place!!
