Wed. in June

Today, after having done many chores and errands the past two days, is one of relaxation. We're all sitting in the family room, reading a book of the history of the Civil War, drinking hot cocoa (Sorry Dad! I'll make you a cup when you get home!) and discussing life. Every now and then, my mom stops reading and we talk about what had just been narrated, expressing everyone's respective opinion.
It's also a bit on the cold side today, thankfully. The yard and woods are vibrantly green after yesterday's rain and the birds were quite active this morning, waking me out of a dream. The Goldfinch has moved back into it's nest in our maple tree, the Purple Martins darting around, eat mosquitoes. And the Blue Jay fighting with a Robin who alighted in his territory.
Today is shaping out to be a good day, less active and more books!!
