Yesterday, we woke up around 5:30 and made the sandwiches, packed the car and left for the MSU vs. CMU (Central Michigan University) football game right at 6 a.m. This time, at the football game, we tailgated with my uncle; drinking orange juice instead of soda and enjoying my mom's coffee cake. It was a little cold that morning, we could see our breath!
At the beginning of the day, a heavy fog kept the sun from being seen, but as soon as the game started the fog dissipated and the sun came out in full force. Sitting in the stands, with the sun out like that, we all got sunburned a little. Thanks to my uncle, we got really good seats. We were just to the left of the 50 yard line and close to the field, so besides everyone in front of us suddenly standing up to watch someone score, we could see everything easily. The game was really good. I don't know much about the game or how it works, so first Eric and then nick explained the game and what was happening. The score, in the end, was MSU with 27 and CMU with 29. In the last 6 seconds of the game, CMU scored two points, pushing them above our score. So close! We almost won. It seems like every time we go to a game, the our team looses. It's alright though, it was fun anyway.
After our defeat, we went back to the car and waited for the exiting traffic to thin before heading home.
We ended up not getting home until after 10 p.m. and as soon as the car was unloaded of anything that would spoil, everyone ran straight to bed. A full day, from sunup to well after sundown.
