A little behind getting this one posted too, but better late than never right?
When my uncle was visited last weekend, after doing various things around town during the warmer hours of the day, we decided to take a boat tour I guess it would be called that took you through some of the river and then out into Lake Michigan. The tour we took was the last of the day, after 7 pm so when we were out in the lake the sun was setting and by the time we got back it was dark.

And after the tour it was nearly time for the fireworks to be set off so we started walking in the direction of the Navy Pier which is supposedly the best place to see the fireworks. But before we got to the pier they started. Luckily at the intersection we were stopped at we could see them perfectly.

Today we had some amazing thunderstorms, the lightning stretched across the sky horizontally. It was some of the best lightning I have ever seen, seeing it from a high floor like ours is the best!! After the storms the sunset was a little different than usual, a yellow color with green intermixed, not like the usual bright orange and pink.
