Making medicine. When we went back to Michigan the last time my mom and I had harvested the sweet leaf (bee balm/M. dydima) which I posted a little while ago, but before hanging the leaves from the ceiling, we took the flowers off and submerged them in honey to make a remedy for coughs. And only one more week until it's sat in the sun's rays sufficiently; it takes about four weeks. Can't wait to try it this winter if anyone catches a cold or cough.

The flowers have floated to the top so I have to stir them around a little and mix them back into the honey. Looks good, a nice golden color.
