Roses! And much more. Mom and I headed out after breakfast this morning and found heaven in a nursery near home called, Turner's.
We haven't yet planted them because we are expecting thunder storms, and the storms could cause damage to the young plants being newly placed in the earth with no roots holding onto the ground yet. So, the plan is that early, around 7 a.m. Monday morning, Mom and I will rise from bed and get started on planting the 8 roses, 4 peonies, 2 hasta, 6 dahlia, 18 herbs, and more.

The dahlia that will be planted in two pots we have stationed near the front door.
Some of the roses and peonies.
We moved everything to the front porch since it is shielded from the wind on two sides versus the back which is only protected on one side.
All eight rose bushes we picked are fragrant and smell absolutely heavenly.
Unopened peony blossoms. These also are fragrant.
I do so hope they like the backyard and flourish.
One of the hastas we purchased.
A flowering plant we plan to put between the hasta.
Herbs! Most of these are mainly culinary herbs but also have medicinal properties.
The ones we found at Whole Foods are: Basil, Cilantro (Coriander), Sage, Greek Oregano, Parsley, Catnip, Rosemary, and Dill.
More irises have opened their petals!
The blue flowers to be followed by orange!
