Go Green!

Go White! Go Green! Go White! Go Green!!!

That was the chant that was being shouted at the MSU vs. OSU football game up in Lansing last Saturday! It was so much fun to see what a college football game was like up close and personal. Of course you know what it is like, you see it on TV and stuff like that. Watching the actual game (the players on te field; the scoreboard; watching our team finally score; seeing the other team, The Buckeyes, continually score more than The Spartans) was much the same, but the atmosphere of the crowd, the interactions of the crowd and the field (people yelling; spectators calling for penalties when they thought that a foul had been made; the cheering that would hurt your ears; the marching bands…). That stuff you cannot get from watching it on TV, so it was very interesting to be there. Even though we lost :( 

We got to sit sort of close to the field, it was much closer than I had imagined. You could see the faces of the players and staff on the sidelines, you could see the blades of grass even!! It was cool to be so close, made the experience much more awesome for a first time at a game.

We tailgated before and after the game, which was cool. It was fun to see the difference between the students who was coming to the game with a six pack under their arm and then the families who had brought food covered by tents and grills to cook the meals. 

So all in all, a really interesting and fun  new experience. (Thank you Uncle Kelly for the tickets!!!) I had a great time.

We spent the night at my uncles and drove home after pie and coffee for breakfast ;) And that's the end of my weekend.
