Homemade

Around five P.M. yesterday, my Mom and I pieced together our new, red pasta making machine and started running the dough through it. The dough was a little too sticky because yesterday, and again today, is quite humid. So, the noodles stuck together and stretched too thin when we tried to pull them apart. But the noddles that did survive were great! Cooked in about three minutes and tasted better than the store bought spaghetti. Because the dough was being difficult, we had to combine the homemade pasta with the spaghetti noodles from Whole Foods. It worked alright for dinner, but it would have been so much better if we could have made enough.
But we know that the machine works and that the dough my Mom made tastes good! I'm looking forward to our next experimental pasta recipe!

The dough on it's first time through the machine.
