Again, as with the last post, I'm a little late in writing this.
Last weekend we went to the blues festival in one of the parks. We didn't stay there too long, but we walked around to all of the stages and listened to the music being played.

The beginning of the festival area, a few streets were barricaded to cars so that pedestrians had more room, and stages and food stands could be set up.

 

 This was the largest stage we found, no one was playing yet though.

Large screens were set up, this one was playing video of someone's concert.

We stayed the longest at this stage, listening to the three (four?) piece band. Apparently they were one of the more well known blues bands. 

Another stage and band. This group didn't have singing so much as talking, like he was telling a story rather than singing lyrics.

One our way back to the apartment, we walked past the first building we had chosen (before it was removed from the selection list.) The area is more quiet then where we are now, but it's farther (much farther) from Whole Foods and the lake.

One evening this week, the sky was painted in pastel colors.

 

 

 My uncle arrives today, can't wait to see him. I'm glad his coming to visit. It will be good to show him around our home in Chicago and spend time with him!
