Last weekend we decided to take the architecture tour that (on the one we chose) takes you on a boat through the river to see the various buildings that were built here in Chicago.
So here are some of the better pictures from the tour…

The boat we took.
The walkway along the river.
Trump tower.
This one is homes, the decks of the houses comes right to the river.
This is Navy Pier.
Looking back at the city as the boat turned around to go back into the river.
This is my favorite building out of the entire tour. Each floor is different, and the outside of the building is supposed to resemble waves, the tan-colored horizontal pieces are all different form each other. It's called something like, "Aqua."
Honestly, I can't remember many of the names of these buildings or what they are used for, the tour guide mentioned and talked about so many. The tour was enjoyable and it was one of the activities on my mom's list to do. Another thing checked off the list!
This weekend is the blues festival/concerts in one of the parks. And since my uncle is coming to visit in a week, we're checking out a few things to take him to. I'm really looking forward to it, our first visitor!!
