Sightseeing again. Today we were all sitting home and suddenly my mom said she had to get out and see something, cabin fever I suppose. So after deliberation, we decided to walk the 3.1 miles to the Whole Foods in Lincoln Park… way on the other side of town.
Of course, as is our luck, the moment we stepped out of the apartment building rain started coming down. We waited a little while and the rain let up, but only for a little while. The rain started coming down even harder the farther we got from the apartment.
We eventually found Whole Foods, after getting soaked. We toured the two floors of the the Lincoln Whole Foods and then grabbed dinner there.
One the way back, instead of walking, we took the subway for the first time. It was not as easy to use at the one in Tokyo but we figured it out. There's even a line of the subway that goes all the way to the airport, O'Hare International airport.

I took a few pictures since it's not likely we'll go back all that way. But it was huge! Bigger than the one in Ann Arbor. Though is was a bit rough walking there, we laughed about it a lot when we were relaxing during dinner. So in the end, memories made :)

Looking back at the city.

Next to Whole foods is this building. No idea what it is but my mom likes these older buildings.

More old buildings.

Whole Foods!

Just the neighborhood around Whole Foods.
