The Fourth of July! And Dad's on vacation because of the national holiday, so we've kept ourselves busy with the game Magic The Gathering. All five of us play now, starting two days ago, since the boys proposed it more or less as a joke. But everyone took a liking to it once again (we used to play many years ago).
Yesterday, we journeyed up to the capitol of Michigan to swim for the afternoon in Uncle's pool. We all returned pink, everyone got a little sunburned during the several hours we spent under the hot sun. But it was fun, worth the slight sunburn (but it's a chance for me to test sunburn remedies). We had a good game of monkey-in-the-middle going, some of us floated on rafts while the rest congregated under the single umbrella. A fitting weekend for the Fourth of July, full of sunshine and summer activities.

The roses continue to bloom. According to Mom, they will flower all through the summer months.

Clary Sage steadily growing into its home in the new bins. And, although I could be mistaken, I think I found lobelia poking its leaves through the soil. Fingers crossed!
