Today was the start of our version of Mother's Day. We started this morning with a leisurely breakfast and then shipped out for shopping. But the real start was when we arrived home and rearraged the furniture in the family room a little to make room for our sleeping bags.

Way back when, when my brothers and I were little, we used sleep in the family room, camping out indoors. So, to celebrate our take on Mother's Day (we've termed it family day, and do the same for Father's Day), we will camp out once again in the family room watching movies and hanging out.

To accompany our movie night, spicy popcorn! Homemade popcorn by Dad.

And of course, the regular popcorn for those not up for a little spice.

The youngest of us put together a delicious drink to wash down the popcorn while we watched Larry Crowne (the movie we watched).

Now we're watching Saturday Night Live, taking full advantage of the movie night!! Till morning!
