The new fall semester has started and I'm back to spending my days in school or at home studying. But, before all that happened, we when on vacation to Platte Lake, Mi.

We stayed right on the lake at a place called "Platte Lake Resort II". We worked out everyday, waking up when we felt like it and planning each day as it came and by what we felt like doing.
This was our cabin. A little place, but cozy and clean. Perfect for our week there.

We worked by the lake everyday, incorporating the water in some way. This day's work out had running in the lake water as part of the WOD.

We had wonderful sunsets and even a bonfire at night which we shared with the people who stayed in the only other cabin at the place.

We took a hike to Lake Michigan one day and picnicked by the water. We searched for petoskey stones but only found one. A lucky one I guess!

On the hike we climbed over sand dunes, which was difficult as the day before we ran the Sleeping Bear sand dunes as our workout of the day (WOD).

This is the duck that would sit on the dock everyday in the evening.
Although we left a day early, we had a great time. We did everything we wanted and even more.A good break before the drudgery of school work. This trip was a test run. The trips in the past we have done similar to this we have always come away from wondering if there was a better way to do it. We finally found our wy of vacationing at a lake. Can't wait to do it again!
